What is Ore?
Ore is a free funding finder for UK businesses. We track 55+ grants, in-kind support programmes, innovation programmes and advisory services — from Innovate UK Smart Grants and NIHR i4i to the NHS Innovation Accelerator and NPL Measurement for Business — and match them to your business.
Most founders we meet are eligible for far more support than they realise. The problem isn't the funding landscape; it's discovery. Ore exists to fix that.
Once you've found your matches, Ore generates tailored outputs for each scheme: Application Drafts for formal competitions, Contact Briefs for provider-led programmes, and Claim Guides for tax-based support.
How does matching work?

You tell us what your business does, your stage, size, sector and location — a short set of questions that takes under 2 minutes.

Match
Ore scores every scheme on region, sector fit, stage, and R&D activity, then ranks results from best to good match with a fit score and plain-English reasons.

Output
For each scheme you want to pursue, Ore generates an Application Draft, Contact Brief, or Claim Guide tailored to that scheme's route and your profile.
Who built this?
Ore is built and maintained by The Foundry. We're not affiliated with any funding body - we just want UK innovators to get the support they're entitled to.
Is the data up to date?
We refresh the 55-scheme database quarterly and verify deadlines before each major round. For competition-window schemes (Innovate UK, SBRI, EIC), we note when to check for open rounds. Always double-check the funder's official page before applying.
